Here we are using a Phil & Teds Sport as an example buggy – some aspects of the clean will vary with type of buggy.
FABRICS –
- Remove Fabrics
- Remove hood from chassis and remove hood cover from frame.
- Remove main seat fabrics from chassis (check all attachments – screws and pop studs)
- If double buggy remove fabric from second seat.
- Remove shopping basket/footrest from chassis ( check all attachments – screws)
- Steam Fabrics
- Wash fabrics – using natural soap to retain waterproof finish
- Air dry fabrics
- Spot stain removal – if required
- Odour neutralise – if required
- Air dry fabrics
- Second Steam fabrics ensures all impurities have been lifted from the fabric
- Reassemble onto cleaned and serviced chassis.
CHASSIS –
- Remove fabrics as detailed above
- Power wash down chassis to remove surface dirt, wash with all chassis and wheels with shampoo and wax detergent
- Remove wheels (if seized wheels they will be repaired and cleaned)
- Remove debris from axles
- Check for punctures (repair if required)
- Inflate tyres to correct pressure
- Finish with wheel protector and lubricate moving parts
- Lubricate all moving parts
- Check brakes adjust if required, if repair required parts are extra cost
- Polish all the frame and plastics to seal and protect.
All the fabrics and chassis are checked for defects – if any are found you will be advised and given a cost for parts and repair.
